Shaky Russell saw one of Elvis's films - 'Loving You' - when he was only a five years old and has loved the man and his music from that day on. Even as a child he found himself imitating Elvis's voice and as he grew up this became an overwhelming obsession to perfect Elvis's voice and to recreate the excitement and passion that Elvis himself put into every performance. He says "To me Elvis was the greatest performer and vocalist of the last century and I constantly strive for perfection when I perform his songs."
Shaky is a true Elvis fan and it is this genuine long felt love and respect for Elvis and his commitment to perform the closest tribute to the real thing which has led to his phenomenal success and which is reflected in the stunning performances that he delivers. He pays meticulous attention to the way Elvis sings. From the way he breathes, to adopting the attitude that he expresses when performing and interpreting a song, to his stance and body movement. Elvis's performances are lovingly and respectfully brought to life in every detail.
ELVISLY YOURS ... FEATURING SHAKY RUSSELL IN AN AWESOME MUSICAL TRIBUTE TO THE KING OF ROCK N' ROLL.
This spectacular performer has taken his performances both nationally and internationally with the highlight taking Memphis USA by storm. Shaky Russell is one of today’s supreme Elvis Presley tribute performers with a style and energy that resonates that of the King himself. Many have said he is nothing short of DYNAMITE, taking you back to the innocent yet raw sound that was Rock 'n Roll. Shaky impresses upon his audiences that he does not impersonate nor does he imitate the King. He is instead a tribute performer who aims to create an appreciation for the King. "What I do is not a 'rip off' but a spectacular TRIBUTE. I don't talk to the audiences as Elvis but about Elvis" says Shaky.
With this young mans looks, his voice painstakingly rehearsed, Shaky brings it all back.
Shaky's ultimate experience was visiting Memphis Tennessee, the home of Elvis Presley (Graceland USA) and having the opportunity to perform no less than 100 yards away from the shrine of the King himself. Shaky also had a chance to record at the legendary Sun Studio- Studio to many stars including Jerry Lee Lewis, Roy Orbison and of course Elvis himself.
This professional artist was, without a doubt, born to be a performer. He found his inspiration from his late dad who encouraged him from a young age to conquer all barriers and to follow his dream to be an entertainer. "I was bouncing to the tunes of Elvis before I could walk" reminisces Shaky.
