Once a year, during 2010 and 2011, the previous owners, Jan and Ann du Rand, from Marilynís 60ís Diner, entertained you the Kingís Way with an Elvis Festival in this pretty village of Storms River in the Tsitsikamma. This was truly a unique festival for Elvis Presley Fans!
- The Fans were entertained by Elvis Tribute Artists (ETA) with different 50ís and 60ís Music
- Different Stalls were set up along Darnell Street, including Food Stalls at the Marilynís 60ís Diner
- Sixties Themed Dinner Shows where you could dress up for Prizes
- Classic Cars on display
- Big Screen ELVIS history, movies all day long.
"I've never gotten over what they call stagefright. I go through it every show. I'm pretty concerned, I'm pretty much thinking about the show. I never get completely comfortable with it, and I don't let the people around me get comfortable with it, in that I remind them that it's a new crowd out there, it's a new audience, and they haven't seen us before. So it's got to be like the first time we go on."
-From a 1972 taped interview used in MGM's documentary "Elvis on Tour".
Even though we do not host the Elvis Festival anymore, we still invite you to join us at Marilynís 60ís Diner, to have some fun and dress up for this Rock and Roll Era and let us take photos!
